Visiting more than one Schengen country?
You will have to obtain the Schengen visa from the country where the main purpose of travel lies.
When travelling to more than one Schengen country, submit your application with the country where you will be staying the longest. In case of equally long stays, you have to apply with the Schengen country where you arrive first.
Also travelling to a non-Schengen country?
When also travelling to another country outside the Schengen area (for example in the Caribbean, Croatia, Romania, the United Kingdom and/or the United States), apply for the other visa first, before applying for the Schengen visa.

Passport
Passport: A travel document which certifies identity and nationality of the holder which is usually issued by country’s government for the citizen.
- Passport Validity should be minimum 6 months
- Required minimum two pages empty for you emigration/visa stamp
- Handwritten/Damaged passport are not acceptable
- Required all old passport if any
Photos Specifications
Photographs: Recent four photographs as per the specification below mentioned
- Photographs size should be 35-45mm
- Show you looking directly at the camera
- Photos no more older than 3 months
- Show you skin tones naturally
- Have appropriate brightness and contrast
- Close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70-80% of the photographs
Online Application
Online Application: A form with certain questions related your particular travel.

Covering Letter
Covering letter: A letter which contains the entire scenario of your travel, things to be done while filling as below listed
- Name of the applicant with his passport number and DOB and other members travelling
- Travel dates itinerary and duration of stay

- Who is going to bear the expenses
- Contact number and Email ID of the applicant
- Valid signature as per passport

Invitation Letter
- Invitation letter from relative/friends
- Passport front and back scan copy from relative/friends
- Visa copy from relative/friends
- Present address proof of the relatives/friends in Country.
- Residence card copy.
Flight Ticket
Flight Tickets: Electronic record confirms passenger details on aircraft
- Departure and arrival confirmed tickets
- Flight / other means of travel within the country needs to be provided

Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance: Trip Coverage’s.
- Travellers name as per passport; matching their age and passport number
- Matching minimum coverage for the entire trip
- Matching the dates as per embassy requirements for particular country
Hotel Confirmation
Hotel Vouchers: Coupon given to the guest for a specific prepaid accommodation
- Containing accurate check-in and check-out dates
- Travellers name should be as per passport
- Confirmation number along with contact number and their email id

Bank Statement
Bank Statement: A printed record of financial transaction of personal bank account
- Need a good transaction with sufficient amount to cover the cost of the stay guarantee
- Last six months bank statement
- All pages need to be attested by seal and signature of authorized person
- Computer generated signature / seal are not acceptable
- Quick transaction to increase amount is not appreciated
IT Returns
ITR: Income Tax Return
- Traveller should provide income tax return for last three years
- Traveller can also provide TDS form 16/16A as proof in some cases
- If applicant is not eligible to pay taxes he/she need to submit declaration against it

Effective 1st January 2021 until 31 December 2021 (subject to prolongation), the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given VFS permission to charge an additional ‘Covid-19 fee’ of 5 euros (or the equivalent in local currency) per application. This non-refundable allowance will be levied online or at the VAC – whichever scenario is applicable in your specific country.
